Illustrated by Italian artist Unberto Brunelleschi (1879 - 1949). After WW1 Brunelleschi travelled to Paris and work on stage sets and costume design.
A whimsical scene unfolds as two lovers free a caged bird. Captioned: “the devil flew from his beautiful red cage on a veande he landed…and the only dream of one thing, to nestle between the tips of your pink tinted breasts”
Modern framed. Published between 1863 and 1970 with heavy influences of the Art Deco movement, this weekly released magazine was one of the first “adult magazines” of its time. Having been strongly advised to avoid the publication, It became increasingly popular with American soldiers during the war.
