Over the years Goats have frequently been depicted in all forms of artwork and for a large range of artistic expression. They often end up hidden behind closed doors. You can find more about this on Mary Beard’s fabulous recent BBC series “Forbidden Art”

Part of me translates this as a scene of witchcraft and a possible deal with the devil himself.
